ISAAC-ICMAM Conference of Analysis in Developing Countries, 2-6 December 2024
The ISAAC-ICMAM (Hybrid) Conference of Analysis in Developing Countries represents a significant collaboration between ISAAC and ICMAM Latin America. This jointly organized conference aims to share mathematical research in Latin America and the Caribbean, enhance its visibility, and foster collaboration among mathematicians from the region and worldwide. ISAAC (International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation), established in 1994, is a non-profit organization committed to promoting analysis, its applications, and its interaction with computation. This conference serves as a platform for the presentation and discussion of research in analysis, including differential equations, integral equations, functional analysis, and function theory. On the other hand, ICMAM Latin America has been dedicated to promoting mathematical research and organizing biennial conferences, both virtual and in-person, supported by prestigious institutions. This conference promises to be a prominent event for knowledge exchange and scientific collaboration in the field of mathematical analysis.
In-person program: National University of Colombia, Bogotá-Colombia, Department of Mathematics (details to be updated).
Virtual program: via Google Meet and YouTube.

A Tribute to the Mathematical Career of Luigi Rodino
About Prof. Rodino: Professor Luigi Rodino is a distinguished mathematician known for his extensive contributions to mathematical analysis, particularly in the theory of pseudo-differential operators and partial differential equations. He graduated in mathematics from the University of Turin in 1971 and furthered his studies as a postdoctoral researcher at Lund University in Sweden under Lars Hörmander, and at Princeton University under J.J. Kohn. Since 1976, he has served as a professor of mathematical analysis at the University of Turin.
Prof. Rodino’s research spans a wide range of areas, including harmonic analysis, operator theory and their applications. Throughout his career, he has published over 150 research papers, written five monographs, and edited numerous volumes. Additionally, he has been involved in international research collaborations and projects for organizations like NATO and UNESCO. In addition, Professor Rodino has co-served as Editor-in-Chief with M.W. Wong for the Journal of Pseudo-Differential Operators and Applications.
In the broader mathematical community, Professor Rodino has held notable leadership roles, such as serving as President of the International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation (ISAAC) from 2013 to 2017. He is also recognized for his efforts to enhance the visibility of mathematical analysis in Italy and globally.
ICMAM Latin America is honored to offer during the conference a tribute to Professor Rodino’s remarkable career and lifelong dedication to mathematics. The tribute will take place in virtual form during the opening ceremony.
